Juventus and Gonzalo Higuain together will end soon. Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo confirmed that Higuain will be released this summer.
Higuain joined Juventus from Napoli in July 2016. So far, the former Real Madrid player has recorded 149 games in all competitions with the old lady, contributing 66 goals and 11 assists.
The Argentine striker helped with delivery Bianconeri won three Scudettos and two Coppa Italia titles. After four years together, Juventus and Higuain decided to split up.
Higuain’s contract at Allianz Stadium actually has a year left. However, Pirlo, who has just been appointed to succeed Maurizio Sarri, stated that Higuain was not involved in the project.
“I spoke to Higuain. He’s someone I really admire, he’s had an important time here and is a great player,” Pirlo said at a press conference, as reported. Italian soccer.
“But we’ve decided we have to split up. He’s an exceptional champion, but the cycle is over. He’s out of action, but a serious man. We spoke and made that decision.”
In the meantime, Juventus has yet to make a decision about Sami Khedira’s future. Juventus are reportedly trying to terminate the German midfielder’s contract, which expires in 2021.
“He’s injured over (Sami) Khedira. We’ll see when he’s better,” said Pirlo.
